Tyler, TX - Family Vacation

When taking a break from my crafting, my family and I enjoy going to Tyler, TX because of its family friendliness. Tyler is only about 4 hours away from here, which may seem like a lot to some people; but considering that my family lives 5 hours away and my husband’s family lives 10 hours away, the 4 hours doesn’t seem so bad. Here is my vacation slideshow to show you a little of Tyler’s condo resort.

New found craft

Lately, I’ve ventured into a new type of craft project. Since the starting of football season, I’ve wanted something different than your typical “college football memorabilia” hanging outside. I tried my hand at creating a unique wreath for our front door and with extreme satisfaction; I quickly retired our old décor. My wreaths are made out of felt, yarn, and pins to hold it together, absolutely no glue required. Creating these wreaths are rewarding, however, they are very time consuming. To gear up for the upcoming holidays, I intend to create unique pieces to sell and give away.

College Sport Crafts

Our favorite football team is Alabama, Crimson Tide. Since my husband grew up in Alabama, he has always had a strong passion for the college. I’ve always loved football, but never really had a college team I liked better than the rest. When we met, I sort of adopted his team as my own. Since I’ve started watching them, they haven’t disappointed me too many times, which is a good thing because losing is not much fun at all. I like to create crafts with the Crimson Tide colors and will post later with photos.
